Why work with us?

We're a team of software developers and designers specialising in web development. We use a mix of traditional software design and development practices alongside modern AI tools to build bespoke solutions.

We've been a busy and successful consultancy for over 20 years, working with investment firms, charitable trusts, local government, international agencies and companies of all sizes.

Our breadth and depth of expertise means that we can quickly adopt and use emerging tools and technologies while having the experience to understand both possibilities and limitations.

Our current projects involve building web applications, data pipelines, and agentic AI chat portals for staff working with business data. We also have the skills to involve service and end users in crafting inclusive, accessible, intuitive products, and are looking to expand this part of our practice.

Our skillset isn't limited to technical competencies--we're also great at working with people. We like to deliver more than just well-designed code. We value teamwork and communication, and like to have our team work as a part of your team, wherever you are. We also enjoy helping junior staff develop their skills whether through structured training or informal mentoring.

T.J. Crowder

T.J. Crowder

Senior developer and CEO

T.J. loves to build software that people like to use.

T.J. has been a professional software developer for more than 35 years, having played around with computers for years before that. Aside from designing and coding, he's adept at working with management and end users to determine requirements in order to deliver successful projects.

He's a JavaScript expert (nowadays mostly via TypeScript) and an able communicator: he wrote the book JavaScript: The New Toys and is the all time top JavaScript contributor on Stack Overflow. He also has experience creating and delivering technical training courses.

Currently he works with Python, Databricks, AI, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Preact, Node.js, Deno, C#, ASP.Net Core, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, but along the way he's done all kinds of other things. Back in the day he was a C guy, but that was longer ago than he's likely to admit.

Wendy Boman

Wendy Boman

Wendy loves creating user-friendly designs and crafting clear content.

With a BA in psychology and an MPH in health education, Wendy is great at figuring out what it is that people really want and need. She's skilled at using data and user research to advocate for accessibility and inclusivity. She's got technical skills as well including CSS, HTML, Figma, React and JavaScript.

Wendy started out writing health brochures for people with low literacy skills. She moved into engaging users in shaping health services and then explored her creative side by setting up a garden design business. She's now back in the warm and dry, applying her user focus and design skills to improving user experience in all things online.
